Accessibility at Christ Church Neighborhood House

The theater at Christ Church Neighborhood House can accommodate wheelchair users in the first row of seating. The entrance to the building is on the ground floor through the glass doors. A welcome-desk attendant staffs the entrance area. If the front door is locked, patrons may press the buzzer for admittance. Next to the buzzer, there is a “push-to-open” button, which opens the left-hand glass door.

Paratransit vehicles can typically lower their ramps directly onto the sidewalk outside the building. Wheelchair ramps that go from the cobblestone street to the sidewalk/entrance are also available upon request. The wheelchair ramps can be useful if arriving via private vehicle or other modes of transit. The ramps can requested with 24-hours notice through email to spaces@neighborhood-house.com.

The theater is on the fourth floor and is accessible by elevator. Restrooms are located on the first floor. The restrooms are outfitted with handrails and can accommodate wheelchairs; however, the doors to enter the restrooms are not equipped with crash-bars, and so wheelchair users may require assistance entering the restrooms.
